The Down Syndrome Association Nepal (DSAN) is a group of parents of children with Down Syndrome that was initiated in 2006. They work to raise awareness of Down Syndrome throughout Nepal and aim to make these children independent, respectable, and productive members of society by focusing on education, hygiene, and proper nutrition. They advocate against the stigma associated with Down syndrome.
