Akasa is a network of self-help groups primarily supporting persons with disabilities and their family members, with a focus on women. Based in Sri Lanka, the organization adopts a rights-based, bottom-up approach and strives to create a society with equal opportunities, especially in rural and poorer communities. They provide vocational training, educational programs, and employment opportunities.
